Decomposing Trees

Ah those crazy agrarian socialists! Barnaby Joyce has suggested a competition to determine the new name of the party that will come into existence if the Nationals and Liberals merge.

Being in Opposition hasn't done much to tame their random ideas. I can only imagine what they'll suggest next.

Add to that Christopher Pyne suggesting that party members should choose the leader of the Liberals. With the way the Liberal membership base is constituted you'd probably end up with Alex Hawke as leader. I could see inflation being higher than his approval ratings.

Anyhow, my suggestion for the party's new name would be the 'Irrelevant Party'.
