Decomposing Trees

To celebrate 50 years of Australian rock 'n roll (defined as 50 years since the release of The Wild One by Johnny O'Keefe), the Age has done a poll of the 50 best Australian albums of all time.

The criteria was that the albums had to be made by bands that were predominantly Australian and panelists had to choose what they thought were finest works rather than favourites. That said, lists are always contentious no matter what.

In the end Midnight Oil topped it and You Am I made the top 5 but I still finding it a bit hard to believe that Get Born by Jet made the Top 50.
