Seven Song Audio Meme
A bit of a late audio meme via Eurhythmania
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.
Smog - Blood Red Bird
I listened to this song a fortnight ago and I've just been hooked on it ever since. It just conveys how I've been feeling when I've been waking up before work in the morning. It's funny that such a simple song can be so much.
Múm - Slow Bicycle
It's just a perfect song for driving around the desolate streets of Canberra on a quiet night.
Feist - One Evening
I listened to Let It Die about a month ago and after listening to 'One Evening' one night I left it on repeat. After a day at work, it is a nice song to kick back and chill out to.
The Grates - Burn Bridges
The new single portrays a rougher edge to the Grates without losing the playful fun. I really can't resist and am looking forward to the new album.
Spiritualized - Soul On Fire
My thoughts haven't changed.
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
I love Blue Lines by Massive Attack and every month or so I seem to become obsessed with a new track. For a few months it was 'Hymn for the Big Wheel', followed by 'Be Thankful for What You Got'. 'Unfinished Sympathy' is just a soulful anthem for the 90s and that's what makes it such a great song.
The Fall - US 80s-90s
This song is almost hypnotic. Just listen to the bass lines and the drumming.
I'm tagging Guy Beres, Wayne, Ro, Karen, Twelve Major Chords, Get Big Little Kid and Mark Bahnisch.
