Far from Fair and Balanced.

Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous and petty. The Daily Telegraph has essentially become the NSW Opposition (just like how The Australian is the official Federal Opposition).

The blatant attempts to tear down the Government at any cost is concerning and trying to push support for unconstitutional measures such as sacking the NSW Government and replacing it with administrators and forcing a State Election (even though Constitutionally there are fixed terms, something you can thank Clover Moore for).

They are being actively partisan in a way I have never seen before. The strong concentration of media makes it even more concerning and impossible to get any reasonable coverage of the NSW Government. It makes me wish there was an equivalent of the Fairness Doctrine for all mainstream media in Australia.

The Murdoch press should really just go form their own political party instead of sitting there on their high horse, slinging mud at Labor. Unfortunately they won't and I can only imagine them getting worse over the next two years.

What next?

it's not really new. The West Australian newspaper was very partisan in the past five years. When the Liberals replaced Troy Buswell with Colin Barnett, they did it when The West told them to.

Also, this is an atrocious government (NSW Labor), isn't the Murdoch press voicing the concerns of a legitimate segment of the NSW community?

I don't deny that it's pretty bad in NSW but I don't think you'd see the same level of vitriol directed at a Liberal Government in the same position. That's my main problem.

Hey, your totally right ... the media is bias as always. Journalists mostly have their head up their arses thinking their shit is made of gold and smells rosy. They don't seem to realise they are meant to report on the news, not make the news.

I say sack the staff of the Telegraph. Throw them of out their offices and shut them down!

Of course, the NSW Government is pretty crappy as well. So maybe we can get rid of both ... some sort of two birds, one stone deal?
